Shorewood alum and former soccer player at the University of Washington, and FC Dallas (of the Major Soccer League) Pro Soccer Player George John got his soccer jersey retired at a recent Shorewood Boys Basketball game on December 15, 2011.  The halftime ceremony featured George with former Shorewood Boys Soocer coach Drew Thompson and George's family.  The current Shorewood Girls and Boys Soccer teams were there in support and the crowd was treated to a wonderful victory by the boys team.  Soundly defeating Oak Harbor.  Nobody at Shorewood will wear the soccer jersey #11 again.

The boys will play Marysville-Getchell Friday night (December 16) and the game will be a black out.  So come watch some great basketball and wear black.  The boosters will be selling their spirit gear including their black Shorewood shirts for $10.

Congratulations George John on your jersey retirement.  Thank you to Vicki Gorman for putting the ceremony together and to George for being so accommodating.  Go T-Birds!

The Boys Basketball team is playing Oak Harbor.  Shorewood alum and current FC Dallas soccer player George John will have his Shorewood soccer jersey retired during half time.  Come have a great time at a fun event.  Go T-Birds!!!

The Boys Basketball game on Friday night will be a blackout!  Come dressed up in black.  SW Boosters will be selling black Shorewood gear during lunch Wednesday and Thursday and at the game.

Go T-Birds!!!
