Running for ASB Office is a great way to get involved in Shorewood High School. Members of the ASB Leadership Team have an important voice in student affairs and have the freedom to take on projects to improve or change the way the school is run.

Elections take place during spring for elected officers for the following year. Winners will be signed up for 2nd period Leadership with Mr. Villanueva (full-year course) during their term.
Intent to Run Form submissions will be available the 1st day of 2nd semester right here (link will download a pdf file). Forms will not be accepted until 2nd semester starts.

Elected positions:
ASB Officers: President, Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, Treasurer.
Senior Class Officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer.
Junior Class Senators: Number is determined by class size. (5 for the Class of 2014)
Sophomore Class Senators: Number is determined by class size. (5 for the Class of 2015)
Freshman Class Senators: Number is determined by class size. (unknown until June 2012)

Note to Freshmen: Freshmen senator elections take place at the end of the 8th grade year at Einstein.
In addition, all Shorewood students may apply to the ASB Advisor to be an ASB Special Assignment. ASB Specials perform a wide variety of tasks during the leadership period including video production, sound techs during assemblies, random advertising, etc. Be prepared to discuss your qualifications and goals. Experience is a plus. Applications will not be available until after all elections have taken place, so applications will be available sometime in April. It's preferred that applicants have run for office in the past either as a former senator or wasn't elected or have served the school a lot in different capacities.
